Information Collection and Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

Types of Data Collected

• Camera & Photo Data: Our Service's primary function is to act as a camera. To use our Service, you must grant access to your device's camera. The photos you capture are saved directly to your device's local storage. We do not view, collect, or store your photos on our servers.
• Location Data (Personal Data): We ask for permission to access your device's precise location (GPS and network-based). This information is used in real-time to:
  • Display your current latitude, longitude, and approximate address on the camera screen.
  • Fetch a map snapshot from the Google Maps Static API to display on the screen.
  • Draw (embed) the location information and map snapshot onto the photos you choose to capture.
  This location data is only used locally on your device and is not stored or transmitted to our servers.
• Usage Data (Analytics): We may collect information about how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data is collected automatically by Firebase Analytics and may include information such as your device's IP address, device type, operating system version, the time and date of your use, features utilized, and other diagnostic data. This data is anonymized and helps us improve the app.
• Advertising Data: The app uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may use device identifiers, cookies, and other technologies to collect information for the purpose of serving personalized advertisements.

Permissions Requested

Our app requests the following permissions to function correctly:

• CAMERA: To capture photos as is the core feature of the app.
• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION & ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: To get your precise location for stamping it onto photos and displaying the map overlay.
• INTERNET: To fetch map tiles from the Google Maps Platform and to load advertisements from Google AdMob.
• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: On older Android versions, this is required to save the captured photos to your device's storage.

Use of Data

GPS Map Camera uses the collected data for the following purposes:

• To provide the core service of a camera with a location and map overlay.
• To improve the Service by analyzing how it is used.
• To provide and display advertisements to support the Service.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party services for analytics and advertising, which may collect information used to identify you. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Security of Data

The photos and location data you capture are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data during its use by third-party services, remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children have provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.
