• Selected apps and app list information, used to build your edge app drawer and recent apps list.
• Selected contacts, used only when you enable favorite contacts in the sidebar.
• Local app settings, such as sidebar position, handle size, colors, transparency, toggles, and service state.

How We Use Information

Information accessed by the app is used to provide and personalize Edge Sidebar Launcher features, including:

• Showing a floating edge handle and sidebar.
• Displaying selected apps and recent apps.
• Displaying favorite contacts if you enable contacts access.
• Launching apps or placing calls when you tap the related shortcut.
• Running optional quick toggles such as flashlight, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, auto-rotate, and Do Not Disturb.
• Saving your customization preferences locally on your device.

Local Storage

Edge Sidebar Launcher saves configuration settings on your device using local app storage. This may include your selected apps, selected contacts, recent apps, sidebar layout settings, and toggle choices. These settings are used only to restore your preferred sidebar configuration.

Permissions

Edge Sidebar Launcher requests permissions only for app features. Depending on your Android version and the features you enable, the app may request or use the following permissions:

• Display over other apps: Required to show the floating edge handle and sidebar on top of other apps.
• Query installed apps: Used to let you choose apps for the sidebar and launch selected apps.
• Contacts: Used only to let you select and display favorite contacts in the sidebar.
• Phone: Used only when you tap a contact shortcut to place a call.
• Camera: Used only for the flashlight toggle. The app does not take photos or record video.
• Do Not Disturb access: Used only for the Do Not Disturb quick toggle.
• Modify system settings: Used only for supported system toggles such as auto-rotate.
• Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: Used only for related quick toggles where supported by Android.
• Vibration: Used to provide optional touch feedback.
• Run at startup: Used to restart the edge sidebar after device reboot if you enabled the service.
• Foreground service: Used to keep the edge sidebar available while the service is enabled.

Advertising

Edge Sidebar Launcher may display ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data according to Google's advertising policies, which may include device identifiers, approximate location, app interactions, diagnostics, and other information used to provide, measure, and improve ads.

Sharing of Information

Data Retention and Deletion

App settings are stored locally on your device for as long as the app remains installed or until you clear the app data. You can delete locally stored data by clearing the app's storage in Android system settings or by uninstalling the app.

Children's Privacy

Edge Sidebar Launcher is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information handled by the app. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
