This privacy policy applies to the Location Reminder mobile application (herein referred to as "the App") for Android devices. The App is designed to provide contextual tasks and alerts based on your GPS proximity using Geofencing technology.

1. Information Collection and Use

To provide its core functionality, the App requires access to certain information from your device:

Background Location: Because reminders must trigger even when the App is closed or the screen is off, the App requires "Allow all the time" location access.

2. Background Location Usage

The App uses Background Location access solely to monitor Geofences set by you. When your device detects a transition (Arrival or Departure) within a user-defined radius, the App generates a notification alert. This location processing happens via Google Play Services on your device; no location history is ever sent to our servers.

4. Data Storage

All data related to your reminders (coordinates, radius, and task notes) is stored using a Room database located locally on your physical device. This data is deleted if you uninstall the App or manually clear the App cache/data in your device settings.

5. Permissions Explained

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION: Used to determine your exact coordinates for the map and geofences.
ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION: Enables reminders to work when the App is not in the foreground.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required to alert you when a geofence trigger occurs.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Allows the App to re-register your active reminders automatically after your phone restarts.

6. Advertisements

The App displays advertisements via Google AdMob. These ads help us keep the App free to use. AdMob may use device identifiers and location data to serve personalized ads. You can opt-out of personalized advertising in your Android Google Account settings.

7. Security

We value your trust in providing us your location access. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
