Welcome to Rich Notes. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles your information.
Rich Notes is an offline-first application. All your notes, rich text content, and metadata (like labels, colors, and pinned status) are stored locally on your device in a private SQLite database. We do not maintain any servers, and your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.
When you attach images, PDFs, or record voice notes, these files are copied to the application's private internal storage. They are not accessible by other applications and are not uploaded to any cloud service by us.
The app provides a "Backup & Restore" feature. If you use the Export function, a JSON file containing your data is created. You control where this file is saved (e.g., local storage, SD card, or your own cloud provider like Google Drive). We have no access to these backup files.
The app may use system-provided services such as Android's Speech-to-Text engine for voice typing. Use of these services is subject to your device's system settings and the respective provider's privacy policy (e.g., Google Privacy Policy).
You can delete individual notes or attachments at any time within the app. When you delete an attachment or a note, the corresponding local files and database entries are permanently removed from your device. Uninstalling the application will also delete all data stored within it.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
